My story

Tech enthusiast with a strong foundation in hardware and software, I began application development in 2012 at the vocational (MBO) level, earning Aries and Oracle Database certifications. I’ve developed software in Java and C# and continued my studies with a Bachelor’s in Business IT & Management at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, focusing on areas like Information Management, Innovation, Security, and IT processes.

Currently focused on Cloud technology, I actively pursue certifications, join labs at Sogeti, and take online courses via Udemy and YouTube. In my free time, I also enjoy building electric scooters, working on my car computer, and following tech content like LinusTechTips.

In addition to my technical development, I operate as an independent entrepreneur—providing professional IT consultancy to companies and building complex, high-performance websites.

Team Lead Floorwalker – IT Migration Project (Municipality of Amsterdam)
As Team Lead Floorwalker during a large-scale IT migration project for the Municipality of Amsterdam, I was responsible for overseeing the replacement and relocation of technical equipment alongside my team. We ensured that all devices were installed and configured correctly.

In addition to hardware deployment, we provided on-site user support to employees in need of assistance during the migration. I coordinated the planning and execution of the entire process and worked closely with project managers from Sogeti to ensure a smooth rollout.

During the short time I was at this project, I managed to create a good “system” that the followup teams could use to speed up and increase the deployment of new systems.

Business Process Analyst – Inventory Process Redesign (Plus Retail)
In this project, I focused on redesigning the inventory process within Plus Retail. My responsibilities included thoroughly analyzing the existing process, identifying pain points and improvement opportunities, and actively involving both experts and end users to gather valuable insights.

To successfully complete my tasks, I conducted in-depth research on the current inventory process, collected relevant data, and performed detailed analyses. I collaborated closely with experts and users to fully understand their perspectives and experiences. I used various methods—such as workshops and interviews—to gather input and ensure stakeholder engagement.

Based on this input, I developed new processes and methods to optimize inventory management. The result was a redesigned, more efficient, and more effective inventory process that better aligns with the operational needs of Plus Retail.

Business Process Analyst – E-commerce Redesign (Plus Retail)
During this project, I was responsible for redesigning the E-commerce process for Plus Retail. I discovered that the existing process did not align well with in-store operations, making a redesign necessary. My research focused on stakeholder management, change management and BPMN.

My responsibilities included conducting a thorough analysis of the current E-commerce process and identifying key bottlenecks. I designed a new process that better aligned with store operations. A crucial part of my role was engaging with stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate them into the redesigned process. I also applied change management techniques to ensure a smooth transition to the new workflow. To clearly map and document the redesigned process, I used BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).

To carry out these tasks successfully, I performed extensive research on the interaction between E-commerce and in-store processes. I collaborated closely with internal stakeholders to gather valuable insights and feedback. The redesigned process aimed to improve efficiency and integration with existing workflows. Ongoing communication ensured stakeholder buy-in and acceptance. All new processes were visually modeled and thoroughly documented using BPMN diagrams.

The result was a redesigned E-commerce process that aligned more effectively with the operational needs of physical stores.

As a software developer, my goal during the project was to develop a mobile app using the DevExpress framework. This app needed to retrieve data from internal systems and present it in diagrams tailored to the needs of the business.

I had several responsibilities. One of them was learning to work with the DevExpress framework. Additionally, I had to familiarize myself with the SCRUM methodology for project management and gain experience working in an office environment alongside a development team and end users.

To successfully carry out my tasks, I conducted research into the capabilities of the DevExpress framework and applied this knowledge during the development of the mobile app. I actively participated in SCRUM meetings and closely followed agile practices. I also collaborated closely with the development team and users in an office setting to gain a clear understanding of the requirements and expectations, and implemented these in the app.

The result was a successfully designed mobile app built with the DevExpress framework, through which I gained valuable experience in software development. I learned how to work effectively using the SCRUM methodology and became familiar with a professional office environment where developers and users collaborate. My app was able to extract data from internal systems and display it clearly through charts, providing the business with valuable insights into key information.
